Benzie Bus Executive Director

Are you interested in working with a fun, collaborative, and award winning 40-person staff? The Benzie Transportation Authority, known as Benzie Bus, seeks a leader to serve as their Executive Director with business savvy for continued premium service and accountability to our community. You should have solid interpersonal, collaborative, and financial skills. The Position requires a flexible schedule to meet with customers throughout the community. A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three years demonstrated experience in a senior management position is required, or six years of demonstrated experience in a senior management position with preference given to anyone with transportation industry experience. Located in northwest lower Michigan, bordering Lake Michigan, our service currently provides 100,000 rides annually and utilizes a $1.8 million budget that is federally, state, and county funded. Benzie County boasts over 100 lakes, several square miles of State forests, and miles of pristine rivers.  With a population of just under 18,000, Benzie County opens its doors to visitors year-round for water sports, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, and fall colors. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
