This leadership role at CALSTART will support Small and Rural Transit Bus Operators throughout the country to help advance the adoption of new technology transit buses, infrastructure and other new modes of transportation. This includes Low Nox Engines, Hybrids, Zero Emission Buses, and new modes of transit to improve the efficiency of the fleets.

This role is located in our Troy, Michigan office and will work with managers in the Northeast, Midwest, Colorado and the Central Valley of California.
This ideal candidate will have a passion for the CALSTART’s mission, along with demonstrated outreach skills, analytical capabilities, and knowledge of rural and urban transit bus operations and the differences between the two. Must be skilled at relationship building, strategy execution and have the experience needed to support small transit bus fleets.
We want a program leader who is can provide laser focus for the organization, and has sound knowledge of new and emerging transit bus technologies. These technologies can include electric hybrid, fuel cell, all-battery electric, and advanced compressed natural gas and drivetrains, alternative fueling infrastructure and/or connected and automated bus technologies.
