MTA veterna's bus

In honor and gratitude to the men and women of the armed forces, Flint’s Mass Transportation Authority today unveiled a fully wrapped veteran’s bus. The bus wrap was sponsored by the following organizations:

  • CBS Outdoor
  • Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce,
  • Hoekstra Transportation,
  • Roush Clean Tech,
  • Sorensen Gross,
  • USSC Group

The interior of the bus has bus placards showing the history of wars the United States has fought in from the Revolutionary war to the Afghanistan War. The cards were sponsored by National Fleet Services of Michigan and Ohio and Mobility Transportation Services.

“This bus is in honor of our veterans. It’s the MTA’s way of saying thank you to those that have served in the past and those serving today,” Ed Benning, MTA General Manager said.

“It was important to share this with the community. When you have a mobile billboard, it serves as a daily reminder of how we honor our veterans. We ask that everyone take a moment and thank a veteran.”

The veteran’s bus will be on the road full year, on various routes throughout the community.
